Cages

of the cages on ebay tested for VERY High levels of lead in
the paint or zinc in the bars...I have done some research into
various cages and have had some friends test their cages with
different state labs...The only cages that I will buy are Preview,
Kings, California, and A&E..These people regularly test their cages
when shipped in from China or their cages are solely made in the US.
A&E ships from China and tests in the US
Preview is made in US
Kings some are made in US, Europe, and econo cages are from China,
BUT the do test them in the US
California are made in the US, but assembled in Mexico.

Other cage makers say they test, but the tests are done by the
manufacture in China. Sort like letting the Fox guard the Hen house
if you ask me.

I have A&E Double stacking cages #13221-2. They also make a single
A&E 13321. I also know HQ makes this cage (same number) not sure on
their testing, it is just a tiny bit more expensive and it has 2
doors instead of one door..Some like them better. Shop around, go
directly to the manufacturer by looking them up on the internet.
Most manufactures do not have the pricing stated so call their 800
number. Most of the time you will find you pay waaaaaaaaay less than
if you bought from a store or even an on line store.

I purchased some of my double stackers at a birdmart, but once you
know the individual manufacture styles (that you like) and their
prices, you will know who made the cage no matter who has a name
sticker on it..There are only so many cage manufactures in China, but
sooooo many stores in the US put their own stickers on them. I
purchased my A&E dbl for only $169.oo at a birdmart, a whole lot less
than ANY where else and there was no shipping as the cage was already
here.

Hope this helps.
