As you know we were thinking that Blake would be able to come home today, however, plans have changed. When they checked Blake's creatinine levels (these are chemical levels that they monitor to check for rejection) yesterday they were down to 1. something which is great. A normal level is 1. But, when they checked his levels this morning to see if he was ready to go home the creatinine level was back up to a 2. This is not a huge jump however it could mean 1 of 2 things; either his kidney is rejecting or his anti-rejection meds are too high.
Please pray that it is just that his meds are too high and causing toxicity in his body. Pray that the doctors will have wisdom as to what to do and what is going on and that they will be able to get this under control fast. Pray for my brother. He is very frustrated and I am sure is feeling scared. Please pray for peace and patience for all of us as we are waiting to see how things change.
I will keep you posted every step of the way as I hear new information. Thank you for your prayers.

School days
We started our preschool homeschool this morning and things really went well. I decided to use the basic curriculum idea from Letter of the Week with some modifications that I choose. Here are some pictures of our Monday lesson.. On Monday we introduce the concepts on the poster and concentrate our focus on the letter sound and the theme words. We focused on the theme word Apple today.
We are working on following directions such as 'Color the apple red, the leaf green, and the stem brown. On the reverse side of their page I have written their name in large letters. We spell each name when I pass out the papers. Nathan can spell his name very well, Cameron can spell his when he is looking at it, and Ben knows most of the letters in his name. (he does have the longest!)
Our books for today support our theme word of Apple. We also read out Bible story- 'Adam and Eve'.
We finished up school time with a snack of apple slices.

Summer
SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMER, boy am I going to have a lot to scrapbook at the 2008
Creating Keepsakes Convention this fall! Swim lessons for the boys, birthday parties with family and catching up with old friends......it is so much fun to do whatever in the summer time. Even though it is a break from the routine we follow during the nine months while school is in session, I am more exausted now than during the school year! And although we can not wait to get back into our beds at home (especially me since we just got a Sleep Number bed), we are thoughroughly enjoying our LONG vacation!

Calla Lilies
The first week I was at Concordia, Kiel purchased some beautiful white Calla Lilies at Wegmans. He has my heart for beauty, and continued the tradition I started after cancer of having beauty always close by. Part of that desire is making sure I have fresh flowers in the house whenever I can, whether picked at roadside, grown in a pot, or purchased from a store.
When I returned home from Concordia, they were still white, still sitting on the top of the entertainment center, still without any scent. Kiel and I both remarked on their long lasting freshness - an unheard of five weeks. They are his favorite flower.
I remember the first time I became aware of Calla lilies. It was scandalous. One of the Campus Life leaders had made the tragic mistake of falling in love with a divorced man. That was just not done in those days - neither divorce nor marrying a divorcee. Consequences were dire. In this case, she was not allowed to hold the wedding in her church, and would lose her job over it.
I was truly sad about the whole thing. She was taking it much better than I would have. I couldn't imagine what she would do - about her job or her church. And I had to decide whether to attend her wedding, running the risk of being called to account for sanctioning such a wicked union. In the end, our friendship won out over the threat of excommunication. I had know her for too long to abandon her in her hour of need.
She wore a simple, elegant white dress, and held in her hand one single white calla lily. She looked stunning, especially to an impressionable young college student. The sparkle in her eyes was surpassed only by the brilliance of the small diamond in her ring. I don't think she looked at anything else that day besides her husband.
I lost track of her a long time ago. I came to realize that she had indeed taken on a difficult role. Her husband had children by his first wife and she became a stepmother to daughters not that far removed from her own age. To boot, the husband was a good fifteen years her senior. She never did have a child of her own since he was already done with that part of his life.
Now, of course, I see the ironic symbolism in the flower she chose - one that is an alien plant to this country, one that, once introduced, can take over whole fields and spreads like wildfire. A plant that is highly poisonous to any who partake of it. One that is unique in appearance, and not even a true lily. Perhaps it was the longevity that held so much appeal for my friend. I hope her marriage has indeed lasted.

Working as a team for a company website
If you happen to be involved in designing a company website of some size, or an intranet, I am sure you will not easily forget this experience.
The reason is that you certainly had to deal with many divisions, offices, people, customers, each with its own idea on "how does what." How to deal a reality of gender, especially if we are consultants or freelance, and then the last wagon wheel?
Tips for co-ordinating clients
* Establish the authority,
* Please understand the management and who are experts in the field
* Try to know your customers, for example, inviting them to lunch
* Develop a style guide to which to refer during development, and thereafter
* Involve customers
* Learn to recognize the professional figures that count
* Speak the language that the customer is able to understand
* Upgrade, often

Binds
There are various ways of buying window blinds these days. You can buy online, from a retailer or made to measure from a supplier.
You possibly know which blinds you want in your home, but it is always worth asking for advice. Not all blinds are best in certain circumstances. For example, I would not put wooden venetains in a bathroom because the wood is likely to warp.
Let's consider which type of blind you may wish to choose. The most versatile is the vertical blind. Vertical blinds allow you to open the blind to the right, to the left or split them like curtains. You can control the tilt of the slats to control privacy and light at the same time.
The simplest blind is the humble roller blind. This is just basically a piece of fabric stuck to a barrel that you can wind up or down. You don't really get to control any light though. Roller blinds are still very common and account for about 20% of all blinds sold.
If you are looking for something a little more upmarket and classy then wooden venetians are the way to go. They offer good control of light and give a room a warm feel. They are now available in cut down options which makes the price much more realistic. Beware of putting them in kitchens and bathrooms though because wood will warp. It is a natural product and this can't be helped.
If you are in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire or Buckinghamshire then you have plenty of places to buy a blind. I would recommend though that you call one of the choose at home companies. Make sure they offer a free no obligation quotation and have more than one sample book to show you for the type of product you want. These companies are very good value and you get a complete service all the way through the buying process.
Another option is to buy off the web, but this puts you in the position of having to choose from a computer screen and you do not receive any advice.
The most common way of buying window blinds in Milton Keynes is to call one of the good suppliers like Yager Blinds or Blind Inspirations. They will visit you in your own home and offer a free no obligation quotation and will be happy to offer advice. You can choose from up to 4 sample books of colours and fabrics and know that the blinds will fit your windows perfectly. The price will be very good as well as there are no shops to man or pay for. These savings are passed on to you.

Alternate approach to medicine
Let me be quite frank with whoever is sending me comments about Dr Williams. No, I am not being paid for pushing his articles. I believe in his methods rather than taking drugs for everything under the sun. I publish his articles for everyone to have a chance to read. Take it or leave it.
As far as his articles being a bunch of "BS" as you said, maybe you ought to do some investigations instead of flying off the hook seemly about something that you have no idea about. Are you being paid by the large pill companies to refute things that I publish.?
Peoples names and people faces always appear in public places, especially ones who know nothing of what they are ranting about.
When you send me comments, kindly leave your name so that I know that a real person, and not some idiot wrote the comments.

Insurance
Visitors accident life insurance is a very important part of any trip abroad. It provides visitor insurance to those who meet with accidental death or dismemberment while traveling or during the stay. Visitors who are traveling to or staying in the USA or other foreign countries need to buy a short term visitors' accident/sickness medical policy.
Visitors to foreign country may require emergency medical treatment, hospitalization or medical evacuation to their home country. Most health care facilities in United States are owned privately and they are extremely expensive. The hospital cost can be more than $2000 per day and you may have to pay about $100,000 for a major illness.
A visitor medical insurance or visitor health insurance is therefore extremely necessary for visitors insurance. Accidents can happen any time and are largely unforeseen. Although most travel insurance policies cover accidents that happen while traveling, they are applicable to any injury, accident or sickness when on land. For that, you need Visitors accident life insurance that covers all your emergency medical needs.
You must choose your Visitors accident life insurance carefully. There are many companies offering different types of insurance. You need to compare the coverage policies, deductions and the rest of the things with other visitors insurance policies from other companies. This way you will get the visitors insurance that will suit your needs.
Visitors accident life insurance is quite different from the visitor medical insurance or visitor health insurance. The visitor medical insurance or visitor health insurance can cover any kind of medical expenses including costs of prescription medications, in-patient or out-patient surgeries, doctor's fees, hospitalization, nursing and many others. On the other hand, the accidents like dismemberment (if any body part is severed) or death is only covered by the visitors accident life insurance. Visitors accident life insurance does not cover hospitalization for any other reasons such as illnesses, diseases and sickness.
The visitors accident life insurance can be taken in multiple units of Rs. 5 lacs up to Rs. 1 crore. You can choose between the two options of visitor insurance for self and visitor insurance for the whole family. Private visitors accident life insurance provides protection against the economic consequences of accidents. These economic consequences may include financial constraints due to certain unfortunate incidents , certain kinds of handicaps(temporary or permanent) or death of the earning member of the family, other expenses due to accidents and the likes.
There is also visitors accident insurance that take care of certain harmful factors which may hamper your business. At times your clients may be subjected to unfortunate incidents on your property or grounds. The insurance has a no-fault liability principle which means that the benefits are paid out irrespective of liability on the part of the customer, as a result enabling the frequently difficult discussions on attributing fault to be dispensed with. Hence, there are numerous advantages like business relations are not strained and you also end up saving your expenses through claims.
Thus, visitors accident life insurance is very important for you and your family which enables you to enjoy your abroad trip without having to worry about your health and finance. It is a perfect way to ensure that you do not face a financial catastrophe due to any accident.

Great night
I didn't had enough sleep since Thursday. I mean I was working till late and didn't sleep at all as I had a number of editings to do as well. I went back home at the wee hours of the morning to take a shower and a change of clothes and left straight back to work again. I was so tired.
Put up with work on Friday until 9:30pm where Bryan picked me up to head down to Zouk. I was so exhausted that I couldn't drive down what more have the energy to party? Met up with the bunch pretty early because we were at the Tiger event before that and headed up to Loft around 11pm. It was dead.
And slowly an hour later the place got so packed! A very good crowd and when Bunga took over the decks, it was when hell broke loose for me. Super indie mash up all the way non stop action. I literally lost my voice and almost felt like I broke my neck by the end of the night. We even threw Jules up on the air to bodysurf abit and motherfucker he is bloody heavy omg!
It was one hell of a crazy night. One of the best nights of TAG!
