Chesterfield
'The church in the eighteenth century as sketched by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm.'
Chesterfield benefited greatly from the building of the Chesterfield Line - part of the Derby to Leeds railway (North Midland Line), which was begun in 1837 by George Stephenson. During its construction, a sizeable seam of coal was discovered during the construction of the Clay Cross Tunnel. This and the local ironstone were promptly exploited by Stephenson who set up a company in Clay Cross to trade in the minerals.
Holiday in Spain
As the second largest city in Spain, Barcelona is a great spot for your next vacation. There are many legends that surround the city and the history of the area is very rich. Ancient churches are still there today after being created by artists and architects who have long since passed from this earth. Some of them are maintained and others are left in ruins, but they are all worth visiting during your stay in Spain.
Because Barcelona is such a cultural city, a traveler can always find something new to see and lots of locals to talk to about the best places to visit in the area. The fountains of Montjuic are a ‘don’t miss’ attraction, as they offer displays of music, light, and color in the evenings. They are romantic for couples and fascinating for children, making them a good choice for almost any traveler. You might also want to check out the Temple Del Sagrat and the rooftop viewing platform, as it can provide you with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. No matter what you enjoy, you’re sure to find something in Barcelona!Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Greece history
The scope of Greek habitation and rule has varied significantly through the ages, and as a consequence, the history of Greece is similarly elastic in what it includes. Each era has its own related sphere of interest.
The first (proto-) Greek-speaking tribes are generally thought to have arrived in the Greek mainland between the late 3rd and the first half of the 2nd millennium BC, where various pre-Greek peoples had already been practicing agriculture since the 7th millennium BC.
